Areas of Responsibilities:
Execute lab and field test on wireless subscriber products developed based on UMTS technologies. The technician will be
expected to load new software onto phones, execute tests and generate preliminary report on phone performance through
lab/field testing. Responsibilities include running of automated or manual tests in the lab with standalone Base station
emulators and in the field utilizing test or live networks. Testing includes collecting test results and data during normal work
hours, however time to time evening and weekends support may be required. Other responsibilities include tools testing,
problem replication and fix validation. Candidate will also support test data storage, archiving, processing and analysis as
required. Some domestic traveling may be required for collecting field test data .

Preferred Requirements & Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in cellular phone industry
  • Hands on experience on test equipment such as Anritsu MD8470/MT8820, ,Agilent 8960, Spectrum Analyzer, Racal AIME, fading emulators (e.g Spirent Fader)
  • Test setup and RF calibration experience.
  • Basic Knowledge of wireless standards such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, CDMA.
  • 2G and 3G GCF (protocol or RF) test experience will be helpful
  • Basic knowledge on RF and electrical circuits would be helpful.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Visual Basic, C/C++ or Perl scripts will be helpful.

Educational Requirements:
AA/AS in Electronic/Electrical Engineering Technology
Duration: 6 months+
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Pay Range: $20 - $25/hr.
